I've found the problem. I disabled the "IntenseDebate" comment plugin a few days ago, and it made all the comments inaccessible for anyone without a WordPress account. Very annoying indeed.

I've re-enabled it now, but yes, I will put a post up to make everything clear.

    Thanks, Rebecca. :)

Last time I stopped by here, on the post with the photos I liked, it looked like you had it set up so that a login was required to comment. I assumed, since I didn't have login info, that I'd have to register first and I was too lazy. It seemed easier to comment on Twitter. You may want to post something there that your comments section doesn't require a login…even though there is still that button above which says "Login to comment".

i wanted to comment on the edinburgh post but it said i needed to login to wordpress and I thought 'oh, i've obviously not commented for ages, i didn't realise he'd turned on subscription only' and meant to email you for an id but didn't.

now it is not asking me to….

Aye – I've fancymajiggered it so comments are again enabled. And *whispers* no moderation for the moment. Enjoy it while it lasts, before Joe Spam arrives and I have to man the battlements of my blog yet again.
